Garment Care & Laundry Day
Every piece featured in our collections is one-of-a-kind, carefully sourced, inspected, and reworked to ensure it is of high quality—meant to be treasured forever.
Many of our pieces are made from delicate vintage fabrics, including silks, lace, and hand-beaded materials. These are garments that have stood the test of time & we recommend gentle handling, minimal washing, and careful storage.
Some Notes on Care & Sustainability 🧺
Frequent washing can weaken fabrics and fade their radiance. Try refreshing your garments by airing them out, spot-cleaning or hand wash with cold water and mild detergent. Avoid wringing, rubbing, or soaking for long periods.
Every gentle wash is a step toward sustainability. Washing less, skipping synthetics, and avoiding harsh chemicals reduces water waste and microplastic pollution while keeping your garment beautiful for years to come.
Fabric-Specific Tips 🧺
Silk is a delicate, natural fiber & subtle variation in shading is a natural characteristic.
- Always wash cold, by hand or dry clean depending on the instructions of the original tags, if present.
- Never twist or wring—hang to dry and get its shape back.
- Steam gently to remove wrinkles; avoid ironing directly.
Beaded or embellished pieces require extra care to protect their details.
- Spot clean when possible.
- If hand washing, turn the garment inside out and use a mesh bag.
- Never soak or scrub embellishments.
-
Do not wring—lay flat and reshape while drying.
Always Check the Label
Some vintage pieces may still have their original care instructions, follow them if present. When in doubt, we always recommend professional dry cleaning, especially for intricate or highly delicate designs.
